This March marked the 96th Academy Awards (The Oscars) presented by the Academy of Motion Picture, Arts, And Sciences. The event took place at the Dolby Theater (formerly Kodak Theater) in Hollywood, where it's been held since 2002. The highlights included Ryan Gosling's rollicking “I'm Just Ken” performance with Slash, Robert Downey Junior’s humorous appreciation of his wife and lawyer, and the Award presentations in 23 categories, including Oppenheimer’s seven Oscar wins.

We gearheads can’t help but notice the Oscars isn’t just a stage for stunning gowns and sharp tuxedos; it's also a showcase for some of the world's most exquisite automobiles. It used to be that limousines were the favorite ride for a-listers to the star-studded gala, but nominees now roll up in chauffeured luxury SUVs and even personally-driven models like Tesla.

Anticipation is already building for the 97th ceremony slated for March 2, 2025. The focus, as usual, is primarily on the films, actors, and filmmakers vying for the coveted golden statuettes. Sharing the spotlight are the equally breathtaking cars that announce the arrival of celebrities to Hollywood’s biggest night. Here are 12 automotive masterpieces we hope to see grace the Oscars red carpet in 2025.

Bugatti Mistral

The Mistral, also known as the W16 Mistral, represents Bugatti’s final 16-cylinder roadster and wants to be the fastest roadster in the world. It boasts Bugatti’s famous W16 engine and will be one copy short of 100 units manufactured.

The Mistral is a jaw-dropping mid-engine 2-seater we dare any celeb to show up in at the Oscars 2025. We'd like to see Chris Hemsworth or Anya Taylor-Joy (from Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga) take their Oscar statuettes home in this masterpiece of French automotive engineering and design, no chauffeur needed.

Aston Martin Valhalla

This one would be perfect for Scarlett Johansson because she deserves an Oscar for her ‘performance’ alongside Chris Hemsworth in Transformers One. The Valhalla is a mid-engine hybrid hypercar we’ll never tire of seeing, boasting mechanical and technical engineering expertise forged in Formula One.

The car’s uber-futuristic design could denote the enduring appeal of whoever graces the red carpet in it. Every surface on this car tells an aerodynamic story, a symbol of brains and brawns. The ‘brawns' would be its 937-hp 4.0-liter turbo V8 PHEV engine.

Mercedes-Benz Mythos

Forget the Maybach; the Mythos is a new series of ultra-exclusive collector cars aimed at dedicated enthusiasts. It's too bad Keanu Reeves has never got a nomination. We'd like to see him step out of this car at the Oscars. Keanu loves motorcycles.

He co-founded the Arch custom motorcycle manufacturing company, and that’s why the Mythos would suit him nicely. It’s a radical open-top 2-door roadster he can ‘ride’ with the wind in his hair.

Similar to motorbikes, the Mythos shunned conventional windshields in favor of a Formula One-derived HALO system instead for protection. This car is also as reclusive as Keanu; only 250 examples will be built, with the first debut in 2025.

Lamborghini Revuelto

After his riveting performance alongside Lupita Nyongo in A Quiet Place: Day One and the Gladiator 2, Joseph Quinn deserves to grace the Oscars with something not so quiet like the Lamborghini Revuelto. The Revuelto is electrified but remains home to Lambo’s signature V12 power, unleashing a combined output exceeding 1,000 hp at 9,250 rpm.

It is the Aventador’s successor and boasts a groundbreaking transversal dual-clutch e-gearbox. You can trust Lambo to take its co*ckpit-like interior design to new heights with every iteration of its supercars, elevating the driver’s sense of command and purpose behind the wheel.

Porsche Mission X

The Mission X is a concept we do not expect to see at the Red Carpet next year, but hope to see it even if the celeb has to borrow it from Porsche. It’s an all-electric hypercar concept that Porsche might bring to the roads in limited quantities. This car makes Porsche a serious contender in the speed record race alongside Bugatti and Koenigsegg.

To become the fastest road car on the Nürburgring’s Nordschleife loop, the Mission X leverages its remarkable 1:1 power-to-weight ratio combined with a claimed 900lbs of downforce at 124 mph (according to TopSpeed) and an estimated 1,500-hp high-performance electric drive.

McLaren Solus GT

Once in a blue moon, a virtual racing game inspires a car's development instead of the other way around. The McLaren Solus GT is such a car, a limited-edition track car with no more than 25 copies made.

The highlights include its sliding glass canopy for ingress and egress, aerodynamic pods shrouding each wheel, and a spectacular front splitter design that channels air into ground-effect tunnels before flowing out via the rear diffuser.

The Solus GT is perfect for all the lead characters in the award-winning Dune: Part 2, from Timothee Chalamet to Zendaya to Rebecca Ferguson. Like the Solus GT, Dune is a movie, TV, and video game adaptation of a sci-fi novel by Frank Herbert.

Bentley Mulliner Batur

Red Carpet Rides: 12 Cars We Want To See at the Oscars 2025 - Wealth of Geeks (7)

The coach-built Batur by Milliner has the looks of a high-end luxury car that should never set rubber on the pavement unless covered with a well-groomed red carpet. Mulliner drew inspiration from the cosmos in its choice of color schemes, body and cabin materials, and finishes for the Batur.

It’s a handcrafted grand tourer with a W12 engine on Bentely’s most advanced chassis. The materials are flax-based carbon-fiber composites (in lieu of regular carbon fiber) for the body and eco-friendly leather and coffee-based textiles for the interior.

We’re thinking the Pulitzer Prize-winning Piano Lesson’s Samuel L. Jackson or even the film director Malcolm Washington should bring this car to the Oscars next year.

Rolls-Royce Spectre

This is the one for Brian Cox, the unlikely frontman in the highly anticipated Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim. The Spectra all-electric luxury coupe is an artisanal masterpiece combining sustainability with cutting-edge technology.

It is the Phantom Coupe’s successor and flaunts a fastback design, high beltline, and elegant 23-inch wheels. This super coupe happens to be the British marque’s first-ever all-electric car, looking forward to its first touchdown at Hollywood Boulevard.

Pagani Huayra Codalunga

Red Carpet Rides: 12 Cars We Want To See at the Oscars 2025 - Wealth of Geeks (9)

Pagani described the Codalunga as a “tribute to the timeless shapes of the Italian coachbuilders and racecars of the '60s,” making it the fitting ride to the Oscars for A Complete Unknown‘s Monica Barbaro or even director James Mangold.

Everyone is talking about how Timothee has a good chance of taking his first Oscars in 2025 due to his performance in this film. The movie takes us back to the transformative moments in 20th-century music, as the Huayra Codalunga pays homage to the ‘60s racing cars with its emphasized longtail styling.

Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680

It’s about time for celebs and Oscar nominees to give the ubiquitous Cadillac Escalade a well-deserved rest. The Escalade is almost a staple in Hollywood’s biggest outings, from the Emmys to the Golden Globes to the BAFTAs. We want to see chauffeur or personally-driven Maybach EQS 680 SUVs roll up the red carpet at Hollywood Boulevard in its exquisite all-electric glory.

It doesn’t have 1,000 horsepower because this isn’t an SUV for people in flight but in command. It can seat four to five passengers comfortably in its Maybach-level luxurious interior, boasting an impressive 43.3 inches and 39.7 inches of front and rear cabin headroom, respectively. The bleeding-edge MBUX ultra-wide hypercreen keeps the passengers entertained and informed during the journey.

Radford Type 62-2

Red Carpet Rides: 12 Cars We Want To See at the Oscars 2025 - Wealth of Geeks (11)

The Radford Type 62-2 is a supercharged modern reinterpretation of the classic Lotus Type 62 race car. Ryan Reynold and Hugh Jackman from Deadpool & Wolverine should be coming to the 97th Oscars, and we hope one of them turns up in the Radford Type 62-2, even if they have to borrow it.

The British coachbuilding company Radford promised to make just 62 examples. Beneath its all-carbon monocoque underpinning hides a supercharged 3.5-liter V6 delivering 600 hp and enough zest to sprint from zero to 60 mph in less than 3 seconds.

W Motors Fenyr SuperSport

Red Carpet Rides: 12 Cars We Want To See at the Oscars 2025 - Wealth of Geeks (12)

The “Joker” should do right by his fans and bring along the Fenyr SuperSport when he comes to collect his prize for his role in the 2019 Joker sequel, Joker: Folie a Deux. Pundits (the collective voices of editors, critics, entertainment writers, and fans) unanimously agree the Folie a Deux will get nominated.

We'd like to see Joaquin Phoenix try to fool us into thinking the Fenyr SuperSport is actually the Lykan Hypersport. The Fnyr SuperSport is an 800-hp hypercar from the same manufacturer, ergo, the uncanny resemblance.
